Arriving and Parking

Sunday, 28.09.2025 15:00 by IT_Bimbo

Due to the logistics on site, as some of you may know from previous years, it is not possible to drive directly to the LAN hall. To ensure that your journey goes smoothly, we have developed a clear procedure:

Arriving by public transport

If you are arriving by public transport, you can come directly to the LAN hall and check in on site at the “walk-in check-in.”

Unlike in previous years, check-in is no longer located downstairs, but on the upper floor of the BERNEXPO delivery area:

Arriving by car

If you are arriving by car, first drive to parking lot P17 (Mordor)https://maps.app.goo.gl/53idTcs7uVVTRf677

Important:

Parking tickets and upgrades from 3-day to 4-day parking can only be purchased on site at the “walk-in check-in.”

This is not possible when checking in at P17 (Mordor).

➡️ It is therefore best to purchase tickets and upgrades in advance from the online shop.

At P17:

  • Walk to the ticket office.

  • There you will receive:

    • your ticket for SwitzerLAN

    • your parking ticket (place it visibly behind the windshield)

    • and pay your deposit of CHF 100.00.

  • You can then line up your vehicle.

New:

Cars are no longer unloaded at the delivery point, but at Expo Parking P8:

There is an unloading zone with more space and direct access to the hall. A 15-minute time slot still applies for unloading.

ℹ️ If your car is taller than 2.10m, Securitas at P17 (Mordor) will instruct you on how to proceed.

After unloading, return to P17 (Mordor) and park there and get your deposit back.

ℹ️ Of course, the instructions of Securitas and the helpers on site must be followed to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

Check-in times

Check-in is possible during all check-in times:

  • Thursday:    14.00 until 01:00

  • Friday:         10:00 until 01:00

  • Saturday:     15:00 until 20:00

  • Sunday:        closed

Further points

  • New: Smoking zone outside from the sleeping hall (by the walk in check-in)

  • As last year, there is a ban on Scooters in the LAN hall.

  • We ask you to return the shopping carts after depositing your goods.

  • The smoking ban in the hall also applies to vapes.

  • It is not permitted to play music through speakers larger than a UE MEGABOOM or a JBL Charge 5.

  • Access to the lower part of the delivery area at Bern Expo is prohibited at all times.
